The State authorities has sanctioned ₹7.50 crore for the development of 4 high-level bridges, Roads and Buildings Minister Malagundla Sankaranarayana informed reporters throughout a day-long tour of flood-affected areas in Kadiri Assembly constituency on Thursday.
The Minister, together with Hindupur MP Gorantla Madhav and Kadiri MLA P.V. Siddha Reddy, inspected the bridge close to Nana Dargah, which was badly broken due to incessant rains and resultant floods, and a bridge at Budili in Gorantla Mandal that collapsed due to the floods, ensuing in connectivity being snapped. The Minister interacted with individuals in affected areas and inspected the extent of crop harm after which held a overview assembly with officers in Kadiri.
In Kadiri city, the strategy roads from a number of instructions have been affected in the rains from November 10 to 20 as causeways obtained washed away. The 4 high-level bridges would be built in these locations, he stated. The work would be taken up on a war-footing as soon as the rains stop, he stated.
Mr. Madhav stated that individuals in Kadiri and adjoining mandals have been badly affected by the rains and stated that the Chief Minister had promised all assist to them to restore all roads and compensate those that had misplaced their homes.
Meanwhile, District Collector Nagalakshmi Selvarajan visited Yellanur mandal and met individuals who have been affected due to floods following a breach of a tank bund.
