Amid last-minute pulls and pressures, Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi’s new Cabinet was sworn-in by Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit at Punjab Raj Bhavan right here on Sunday.
While 15 ministers took oath at this time, CM Channi and Deputy CM Sukhjinder Randhawa and OP Soni had been sworn in final week.
Brahm Mohindra was the primary one to take oath, adopted by Manpreet Badal.
Despite stress from social gathering MLAs in opposition to Rana Gurjit Singh, the previous Irrigation minister and three-time MLA was reinducted.
Four-time MLA from Nabha Randeep Nabha changed Fatehgarh Sahib MLA Kuljit Nagra on the final hour.
Among these sworn are seven new faces, together with two-time MLA Amarinder Singh Raja Warring from Gidderbaha, three-time MLA from Amritsar Raj Kumar Verka, three-time MLA from Urmar Sangat Singh Gilzian, former minister and two-time MLA from Jalandhar Cantt Pargat Singh, four-time MLA from Nabha Randeep Nabha, two-time MLA from Khanna Gurkirat Kotli, apart from reinduction of former Irrigation minister and three-time MLA from Kapurthala Rana Gurjit Singh.
Among the previous ministers are Brahm Mohindra, Manpreet Badal, Sukhbinder Sarkaria, Tripat Rajinder Singh Bajwa, Vijay Inder Singla, Aruna (*15*), Razia Sultana and Bharat Bhushan Ashu.
Among the previous ministers dropped are Sadhu Singh Dharamsot, Sunder Shyam Arora, Rana Gurmeet Sodhi, Balbir Singh Sidhu and Gurpreet Kangar.
