To protest in opposition to the alleged lathicharge throughout their protest in Patiala on June 8, unemployed members of 5 completely different unions below the banner of the Joint Front of Unemployed staged a protest in Sangrur and burnt the effigy of the state authorities on Saturday.
“On June 8, we had gone to gherao the residence of CM Capt Amarinder Singh in Patiala to protest in opposition to the failure of the state authorities in giving us jobs, however the police lathicharged us. We won’t carry our protest until we’re given authorities jobs,” stated Sukhwinder Singh Dhilwan, president, BEd and TET-Pass Union. They began a protest march from Singla’s residence and burnt the effigy of the federal government on the primary street. “Our assembly has been mounted with the senior authorities on June 14. We have determined to once more gherao the residence of the CM in Patiala if the federal government fails to settle for our long-pending demand for jobs,” stated Dhilwan.
