New Delhi: Stating there have been some unfounded media studies of the CoWIN platform being hacked, the Union Health Ministry on Thursday mentioned these studies, prima facie, seem like pretend and added that Co-WIN shops all of the vaccination information in a protected and safe digital setting.
“However, the Union Health Ministry and the Empowered Group on Vaccine Administration (EGVAC) are getting the matter investigated by the Computer Emergency Response Team of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MietY),” the ministry mentioned in an official launch.
Dr R.S. Sharma, Chairman of the Empowered Group on Vaccine Administration (Co-WIN), issued a clarification relating to the identical and mentioned the “information being claimed as having been leaked resembling geo-location of beneficiaries just isn’t even collected at Co-WIN”.

“Our consideration has been drawn in direction of the information circulating on social media in regards to the alleged hacking of Co-WIN system. In this connection we want to state that Co-WIN shops all of the vaccination information in a protected and safe digital setting,” clarified Dr Sharma.
“No Co-WIN information is shared with any entity outdoors the Co-WIN setting,” he added.
