A member of the Uttar Pradesh Women’s Commission has stoked an issue with a purported video of her sexist remarks after she was requested about incidents of rape within the state. She stated that “daughters mustn’t be given mobile phones” and “find yourself in such conditions due to their moms’ carelessness”.
A purported video clip of the remarks was broadly circulated on social media.
Commission member Meena Kumari was in Aligarh on Wednesday to evaluation the particular vaccination cubicles for women within the district.
