The state authorities has held two “Tika Utsavs” prior to now involving all panchayats and municipal councils.
Sawant additional mentioned the opposition events had been “unnecessarily” criticising the Tika Utsavs, once they had been garnering good response from the general public.
Meanwhile, the chief minister rubbished reviews that the state authorities had bought Ivermectin tablets value Rs 22 crore that might have to be discarded now.
“Ivermectin was supposed to be the a part of prophylaxis therapy for COVID-19. We had not bought any pill, because the proposal for a similar was pending with the state authorities,” he mentioned.
The Union Health ministry has suspended using Ivermectin for the therapy of COVID-19 an infection.
Ivermectin tablets had earlier been part of the house isolation kits, when it was accepted by the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR).
