Ludhiana: District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma on Monday has arrange a committee for making certain necessary arrangements within the crematoriums and graveyards for cremating/shopping for our bodies of these succumbed to Covid-19 within the district.
In the order, he stated that the committee can be headed by Commissioner Municipal Corporation Ludhiana as chairman and Joint CP Headquarters, Divisional Forest Officer, Ludhiana, District Food, Civil and Supply Controller (west) and IOC LPG Senior Sales Manager Sanchit Sharma can be members of the committee.
He stated that the committee would have freedom to make use of any cremation floor and cemetery for cremating and burying our bodies of the Covid victims. He stated none of administration of cremation/burial grounds deny for performing final rites of victims die as a consequence of Covid. He warned that An FIR might be registered over non-compliance.
He stated that if any crematoriums and graveyards deny achieve this, the committee would have energy to open locks of gates and even the committee would have authority of demolishing the boundary wall for making certain cremation/burial.
