Civil rights legal professional Ben Crump hailed the conviction Tuesday of a sacked white police officer for the homicide of African-American George Floyd as a “turning level in historical past” for the deeply divided United States.
“Painfully earned justice has lastly arrived for George Floyd’s household,” tweeted Crump, the Floyd household lawyer, as Derek Chauvin was discovered responsible in a unanimous resolution by a Minneapolis jury.
“This verdict is a turning level in historical past and sends a transparent message on the necessity for accountability of legislation enforcement. Justice for Black America is justice for all of America!”
