CHANDIGARH: In order to successfully deal with the rise in Covid-19 circumstances, the Industries Minister Sundar Sham Arora has directed the division to pace up ongoing vaccination drive for all the staff beneath its varied places of work and firms on the earliest.
Reaffirming state authorities dedication to safeguard lives of residents, Arora stated that authorities of Punjab has adopted a multi-prolonged and cross departmental strategy to mitigate the pandemic disaster.
Pertinently, the division has organized particular drives for the mass vaccination of business workers and employees in all of the 22 districts of the state beneath which round 200 workers of 45 years of age and above already have vaccinated.
These particular vaccination drives have been organised at Industrial focal factors, industrial areas and the premises of enormous industrial undertakings throughout the state beneath which 53,905 industrial employees above the age of 45 years have gotten vaccinated in these drives, the Minister added.
Keeping in view the economic improvement within the state and the intense disaster of Covid pandemic, Sh. Alok Shekhar, Principal Secretary, Industries & Commerce, Punjab directed the officers and employees at DICs to vaccinate the employees and employees of industries in coordination with the Department of Health and Family welfare and Industrial associations.
