(*10*), Apr 12: As many as ten candidates, together with the son and daughter-in-law of Uttar Pradesh minister Rajendra Pratap Singh, have been declared elected unopposed as members of kshetra panchayat from Mangraura block of (*10*) district, officers stated on Monday.
Block improvement officer of Mangraura, Nisha Tiwari, stated throughout scrutiny of nomination papers on Sunday, one candidate every withdrew the nomination in opposition to Priya Singh (daughter-in-law of Rajendra Pratap Singh) from Madafarpur ward and Rajiv Pratap Singh (son of Rajendra Pratap Singh) from Bahpur ward, and each have been declared elected unopposed.
Rajendra Pratap Singh alias Moti Singh is the agricultural improvement minster of Uttar Pradesh. Apart from this, eight different candidates have been additionally declared elected unopposed after their rivals withdrew their candidature, the BDO stated.
Voting for panchayat polls in (*10*) shall be held on April 19.
