Amritsar: The Nagar Kirtan devoted to the 400th birth anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib, at this time departed from Gurdwara Sahib Patshahi Nauvin, Jind, Haryana to the following section of Bahadurgarh.
Before departure, the ragi jatha related the sangat with Gurbani Kirtan in a spiritual programme.
On the event of departure of Nagar Kirtan, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) member S. Jagsir Singh Mangeana and extra secretary Dr Paramjit Singh Saroa honoured the Panj Pyare Sahiban and Nishanchi Singhs with Guru’s blessing Siropao (gown of honour). Earlier, on arrival of Nagar Kirtan late at evening at Jind, the sangat gave a hearty welcome.
There was nice enthusiasm among the many sangat on the time of departure of Nagar Kirtan from Jind to the following section.
The sangat showered flowers on the Palki Sahib and paid homage to Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
In the state of Haryana, folks of all faiths participated in Nagar Kirtan.
