SHAHKOT Shahkot deputy superintendent of police(DSP) Varindar Pal Singh(VP Singh)(52) who had examined optimistic for the novel coronavirus about 45 days in the past died on early Sunday at a hospital. He was admitted in SPS hospital, Ludhiana.
Singh examined COVID optimistic on February 8 after he developed a gentle fever. Since then, he remained admitted to the hospital. Due to a number of organ failures, he was shifted to a ventilator. He was on a ventilator for the previous one month and succumbed to the virus.
Shahkot MLA Hardev Singh Laddi Sherowalia, Jalandhr (rural), and Jalandhar vary vigilance bureau senior superintendents of police Doctor Sandeep Kumar Garg and Daljindar Singh Dillon expressed their condolences.
“Our brother officer Varindar Pal Singh, DSP Shahkot, misplaced his battle in opposition to COVID-19 early immediately. Vardar Pal Singh served Punjab Police and the folks of Punjab for over 30 years. May his soul Rest IN Peace! Our prayers are along with his household, relations and all these working with him,” SSPs stated.
Varinar Pal Singh was cremated at Sanet cremation floor close to police station Sarabha Nagar, Ludhiana with police honours.
The deceased took cost of Shahkot in July final yr. Before that, he was posted at Barnala the place he was promoted to the rank of DSP in 2019.
Singh is survived by his spouse, a son, and a daughter.
