Ahmedabad: The Indian cricket group’s head coach Ravi Shastri obtained the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine at a metropolis hospital in Ahmedabad.
“Got the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Thank you to the superb medical professionals & scientists for empowering India towards the pandemic,” Shastri tweeted together with a photograph of him getting the vaccination shot.
“Extremely impressed with the professionalism proven by Kantaben & her group at Apollo, Ahmedabad in coping with COVID-19 vaccination,” the previous India cricketer tweeted.
India’s inoculation drive entered its second part on 1 March wherein the protection was expanded to incorporate everybody above 60 and people over 45 with co-morbidities. Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the nationwide Covid-19 inoculation drive by getting himself vaccinated with Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin on the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi.
Ravi Shastri is presently in Ahmedabad with the Indian group as they put together to tackle England within the fourth and closing Test on the Narendra Modi Stadium.
