Seasoned defenders Rupinderpal Singh and Varun Kumar have been dropped from the European tour of the nationwide males’s hockey crew as they’re going by rehabilitation, an official acquainted with the event stated on Sunday.
“Kumar has an ankle drawback whereas Singh can also be unfit,” the official added.
Former skipper Manpreet Singh too will miss the tour, although due to private causes.
The nationwide crew of twenty-two gamers and 6 help workers are leaving for his or her first worldwide tour after almost 12 months because the Covid pandemic had disrupted the worldwide and home competitors.
The nationwide crew will play a collection of matches in opposition to Germany and England throughout the 17-day European tour. India will play Germany on February 28 and March 2. The nationwide crew will then journey to Antwerp, Belgium, to play in opposition to England on March 6 and March 8.
India final performed Australia throughout the Hockey Pro League matches held in Bhubaneswar in February final 12 months.
