Earlier, the Delhi Police had requested Google and a few social media giants to offer details about e-mail id, URLs and sure social media accounts associated to the creators of the “toolkit” shared by teen local weather activist Greta Thunberg and others on Twitter in reference to the farmers’ protest.
The Cyber Cell had lodged an FIR in opposition to “pro-Khalistan” creators of the “toolkit” for waging a “social, cultural and financial warfare in opposition to the Government of India”.
The case in opposition to unnamed individuals was registered on expenses of felony conspiracy, sedition and varied different sections of the Indian Penal Code, the police stated.
Addressing a press convention earlier, a senior Delhi Police officer stated preliminary investigation linked the doc with a pro-Khalistan group named “Poetic Justice Foundation”.
According to the police, the “toolkit” has a specific part that mentions “digital strike by means of hashtags on or earlier than January 26, tweet storms on January 23 onwards, bodily motion on January 26 and watch-out or be a part of farmers march into Delhi and again to borders”.
The “toolkit” was geared toward spreading disaffection and ill-will in opposition to the federal government of India and creating disharmony amongst varied social, non secular and cultural teams, the police had added.
