TMC MLA from Bardhaman Dakhin Rabiranjan Chattopadhyay on Wednesday mentioned he won’t contest the upcoming meeting elections due to his age and well being points.
Chattopadhyay, 79, wrote to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee about his choice and expressed gratitude for giving him the chance to serve for 2 consecutive phrases.
The veteran chief can be a former minister for the departments of Technical Education & Training and Science & Technology & Biotechnology. Assembly elections are due in West Bengal in April- May.
