BANGKOK: Police in Myanmar’s capital Naypyidaw used water cannon on Monday towards protesters demonstrating towards a coup every week in the past when elected chief Aung San Suu Kyi was detained, video from the scene confirmed.
Police fired the water cannon in short bursts towards a gaggle of the 1000’s of protesters who had gathered. The video confirmed some protesters appeared to have been damage once they have been knocked to the bottom.
Police appeared to cease utilizing the water cannon after protesters appealed to them, however the demonstration continued.
