Death indicative of underlying morbidities and never as a result of COVID-19 vaccination, says Director of Public Health.
A 55-year-old feminine Healthcare Worker (HCW), who acquired COVID-19 vaccine in Macherial on January 19, has died on Saturday evening after complaining of shortness of breath, giddiness. The State’s Director of Public Health G. Srinivasa Rao mentioned that ‘the reason for demise is clearly indicative of underlying morbidities and never as a result of COVID vaccination’.
The girl, who’s a resident of Kasipeta mandal in Mancherial district, acquired the vaccine on January 19 afternoon at a Primary Health Centre (PHC) in the identical locality. On Friday, 11 days after the vaccination, she complained of shortness of breath and giddiness.
She was initially admitted at a non-public hospital in Mancherial and was later referred to Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), at 6 p.m. of Saturday. She died at NIMS at about 11 p.m. of Saturday.
“Death occurred as a result of cardio-respiratory arrest triggered by a number of morbidities equivalent to Kyphoscoliosis with restricted lung illness, respiratory an infection with sort 2 respiratory failure , accelerated hypertension with left ventricular failure,” Dr. Srinivasa mentioned.
The senior officers mentioned that autopsy examination (PME) won’t be carried out on her physique as it isn’t handled as an Adverse Event Following Immunization (AEFI) demise. AEFI committee investigation too won’t be carried out. From January 16 to 30, Covishield was used in the State.

PME was carried out in each the circumstances and district AEFI committees examined the deaths.
