The United States is against the use of telecom equipment from untrusted distributors like Huawei, the White House stated on Wednesday.
“Telecommunications equipment made by untrusted distributors, together with Huawei, is a menace to the safety of the US and our allies,” White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki informed reporters at her day by day press briefing.
“We’ll be certain that the American telecommunications community don’t use equipment from untrusted distributors and we’ll work with allies to safe their telecommunications networks and make investments to broaden the manufacturing of telecommunications equipment by trusted US and allied corporations,” Psaki stated.
She was responding to a query on blacklisting the Huawei expertise within the US. The earlier Trump Administration has banned the use of equipment from Huawei, citing threat to nationwide safety.
