Traditional, uncommon species of vegetation
Barnala: Turning a barren piece of 3 acres land on Moga bypass into an environmental park, below stewardship of Deputy Commissioner Barnala Tej Partap Singh Phoolka, the district administration Barnala has set an instance for others to emulate.
Minister for Health and Family Welfare and Labor Punjab Mr Balbir Singh Sidhu devoted this park to the people of Barnala throughout Republic Day celebrations. Deputy Commissioner Phoolka mentioned that the world has been divided into 4 sections as per the character of vegetation. These embody vegetation with huge canopies, fruit vegetation, flowering vegetation and medicinal vegetation. Each part has 125 to 150 vegetation. These embody dek, suhanjana, harad, kachnar, bahera, harsingar, khajoor, triveni and so forth. Besides this round 600 to 700 decorative vegetation have been planted to give customer a singular expertise.
Medicinal vegetation have been fetched from Patiala nursery, whereas relaxation saplings have been offered from the nursery of forest division.
Levelling the land and eradicating huge and small stones from the soil was a problem for the forest division workers engaged on the positioning. For the previous 4 months the staff has been engaged on undertaking below Deputy Commissioner Phoolka.
The park will bloom to its fullest within the subsequent six months.
