-DGP Dinkar Gupta congratulate Awardees, thanked MHA for recognising companies companies of Punjab Police
CHANDIGARH: Recognising the excellent companies of the Punjab Police, the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India (GOI), on the eve of 72nd Republic Day introduced the names of the Punjab Police officers/officers, to be awarded with Police Medal of Gallantry (PMG), President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service (PPMDS) and Police Medal for Meritorious Service (PMMS).
Three officers/officers from Punjab Police’s Organised Crime Control Unit (OCCU) together with DSP Intelligence Punjab Bikramjit Singh Brar, ASI Sukhwinder Kumar and HC Parwinder Singh have been awarded with Police Medal for Gallantry.
While, ADGP Prisons Punjab Praveen Kumar Sinha and IGP Financial Investigation Unit (FIU) Ananya Gautam to be conferred with President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service.
On the opposite facet, an IPS officer Commissioner of Police Ludhiana Rakesh Agrawal and 4 PPS officers together with SSP Vigilance Bureau Ludhiana Rupinder Singh, SP Headquarters SBS Nagar Manvinderbir Singh, DSP Bassi Pathana Sukhminder Singh Chauhan and DSP Punjab Police Academy Phillaur Ashok Kumar amongst 16 cops/officers have been chosen for the Police Medal for Meritorious Service. Remaining officers contains Inspector Prabhjit Kumar, Inspector Kulwant Singh, SI Som Nath, SI Nirmal Singh, SI Avtar Singh, SI Sukhjit Singh, ASI Jaspal Singh, ASI Parminder Kumar, ASI Daljit Singh, ASI Shinder Pal and ASI Anil Kumar.
Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Dinkar Gupta, whereas congratulating the awardees expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Home Affairs GOI for recognising the companies of these officers and boosting the morale of all the Punjab Police power. He mentioned that such recognitions play a major position in encouraging the Police power to work with extra dedication and devotion.
