JALANDHAR- Terming the unveil of ‘OTS Scheme for Vats Dues’ as a historic step to give much-needed reduction to the industrialists, Punjab Industry and Commerce Minister Sunder Sham Arora on Tuesday stated that the scheme will benefit virtually 10,000 small and medium scale businessmen of the Doaba area.
Participating in a digital launch of the scheme, The Minister accompanied by MLAs Rajinder Beri, Sushil Kumar Rinku, (*50*) Singh Junior Bawa Henry, Mayor Jagdish Raj Raja, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori, stated that round 10000 traders of Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Hoshiarpur, and SBS Nagar will probably be lined and Rs 50 crore of dues could be waived off as per the scheme’s provisions.
He stated that this scheme will resolve the long-pending subject of unavailability of C-forms and others, raised by the industrialists in Punjab. Minister stated that the OTS scheme will facilitate the enterprise neighborhood which was going through issues due to the C-forms.
